VeriFire Limited is a Sprinkler System Certifier (SSC).
An SSC is defined in the New Zealand Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems
Standard, NZS 4541:2003 Clause 103, as follows.
SPRINKLER SYSTEM CERTIFIER (SSC). Responsible for certification of the sprinkler system including, but not limited to:
•
Auditing design,
•
Auditing
installation,
•
Auditing
commissioning,
•
Approving
contractors,
•
Approving
listed components,
•
Approving
equivalent variations in the design and/or components,
•
Maintaining
records,
•
Certification that the system complies with this Standard.
To carry out this role VeriFire has been independently accredited by International Accreditation New Zealand Limited (IANZ), an internationally recognized accreditation body, to ISO 17020 as competent to certify automatic fire sprinkler systems to NZS 4541, NZS4515, these standards as modified by Appendix D to The New Zealand Building Code Compliance Documents C1, C2, C3, C4 Fire.
VeriFire also undertakes certification of automatic fire sprinkler systems to comparable international standards.
